Dr. Sam Burton
My approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and relational interventions. I provide a supportive and collaborative space to explore current concerns, as well as the impact of past experiences.
Some clients prefer more structure in sessions, while others prefer an open space for processing. I’ll work with you to understand your goals and will tailor our work to what will be most helpful for you.
I specialize in working with adults with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, perfectionism, relationship/family issues, academic and career challenges, and adjustment to life transitions (e.g., becoming a parent, changes in relationships or career, relocating).
I am dedicated to providing culturally responsive care and welcome clients of diverse backgrounds and identities.
